Second Life was working just fine for me, and I was happily building away.

First Life decided to be a pain and intrude, so I looged out for about an hour.

For the past twenty minutes, however, I get stuck at "Logging in, Second Life may appear frozebn, Please wait."

After a whle (a while being a technical term for "I don't know how long, but it feels like aaaages";) I finally get a message telling me that despite Linden Lab's best efforts, something unexpected ahs gone wrong and that they can't connect me.

Grid status appears to be up, and a few of my friends appear to be online.

Any clues?

In the words of the great Homer

"Aw, the waiting game sucks. Who wants to play Hungry Hungry Hippos?"

Only annoying thing is that the Lindens have not posted anything about the grid being down!

It would of been sort of useful to everyone here!!!

I am having the same trouble right now either second life just stalls then freezes and I have to end program or I get this message " Unable to connect to Second Life. Despite our best efforts, somthing unexpected has gone wrong. Please check http://www.secondlife.com/status and the Second life Anouccment forum to see if there is a known problem with this service"

I could log in like 3 hours ago just fine now I get this and I've teird over 10 times

There's a message up now.

Personally, I'd rather the Lindens try to stem the tide of whatever it is that's attacking and THEN announce. From what I can make out on these things, shutting them down quickly is the key and the faster you do that, the faster you can clean up. This is, of course, assuming it's the same sort of attack as before.

Go Team Linden! *grin*

There is a whole group called Terrorists of SL that like to start grid attack just because they can.
