Gamma problem

My monitor is a old PoS and some shades of black appear really dark in a lot of games, so I always play stuff with the gamma settings almost on lightest.
This is fine but often after quitting SL the gamma settings stay applied to the pc until I reboot, which makes stuff like web browsing tricky.

Anyone know a way around this problem without rebooting or buying a new monitor? :D

I use the gamma setting but its only not reset to normal if the program crashes, restarting the program and quitting doesnt seem to fix it, so i have to reboot or just get used to it lol
