my land seems to have a mind of its own! Its terraforming itself right before my eyes. I would say its a griefer or something like that except they'd have to be invisible and not showing on the map as well. Also there are pockets of land that refuse to be terraformed. We've caged them for the nonce as they are bumps that refuse to be flattened or lowered but we'd really rather not cage them and flatten or lower them.

We had the same problem on a mainland parcel in a +/-4m terraform sim - no terraforming worked at all. However, deeding the land to a group magically fixed the problem. This was in v1.6 so I don't think it a new bug.
If you try this, please be careful about deeding land to a group as an officer of that group can sell it out from under you. Also, the deeding itself can be tricky and undeeding it can be even trickier.
Since I don't know why this worked, I can't really say that it will work for you, but it may be worth a try.
