OK one problem solved, onto the next :) I have just connected another monitor to my card and extended the desktop to it.

I am running SL in my new secondary monitor and it runs fine except for one minor problem. When I go to edit my av in appearance, its completely blacked out. Similarly, if i add new clothes to my av its then blacked out in the area of the new item of clothing. If I drag the SL window over to the original primary monitor, edit appearance or change clothes, everything is fine again.

Now i could just do this everytime i wish to change what my av is wearing or edit my appearance but I would rather solve the problem than avoid it.

Anyone have any ideas?

2nd Card?

Are you using a 2nd graphics card to drive the 2nd monitor?

Sounds like a possible texture-memory problem or incompatibility if its all running off 1 video card.

Can you give us more details about your system's configuration and components?

Take care,

don't think it's related to your two monitor problem

clear your sl cache, log into second life, change your skin color by one notch, and change an item of clothing. relog. see if it fixes it. Otherwise they recommend completely uninstalling sl and reinstalling it. Also have it check your graphics settings on next startup.

I've found weird things when you run SL from whatever Windows considers to be the 'secondary display'.....

Not sure if it will help, but make sure the window runs from whatever Windows calls the primary.

I run 2 monitors. Tried spanning across monitors, but just wasn't 'playable'. I keep SL in primary monitor.

LL knows about blacked out AVs and corrupted textures in appearance when in the second monitor. What I was told is not to do that. Also, you ight run across a neat bug where mouse clicks aren't captured when run on the second monitor...fun...
