Cannot access SL

It doesnt matter what I try, I just cannot get past the "Connecting to Region" status of logging in.

The one time I did manage, nothing was there... everything was gone and the screen was black and orange. I wasnt there, objects in my inventory were missing as was my money and even I wasnt there.

Everytime I try to log in it crashes at the "Connecting to Region" stage of log in. It was working fine earlier today before crashing right out.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled SL and that didnt work. I closed everything down and rebooted the PC and that didnt work...

Is there anything Im doing wrong? Can anyone help me?

Im kinda glad its not just me... but even so, yes it is very very annoying.

I have updated my nvidia and Direct X drivers, set my firewalls as LL suggests, uninstalled, cleaned up and reinstalled a new downloaded version of SL, did virus scans, adaware scans, spybot scans...

I just don't know why it suddenly died around 4 hours ago and won't work again -_-

i done all that and it didnt work
i even tried using the 1.13.1.6 version but you have to update it to log in
