I have a HP Pavilion ze2015 and the avatars suddenly changes its color faces, and the clothes appear with a lot of lines, losing its textures. I had downloaded a driver from HP site, but still have the same problem.
I had read all the threads about Laptops, but no one refered to HP laptops neither this kind of problem.
Would anybody please give me some advice or help with this ? Thank you.

According to HP's website, this laptop uses an Intel Extreme Graphics 2 video circuit with 64 MB of shared video memory.

Frankly, I'm amazed it will run SL at all. This page of the SL support wiki identifies Intel Extreme Graphics as being among the many types of video hardware that are not up to snuff when it comes to running SL.

In the case of a desktop, I'd suggest simply upgrading to a more powerful video card, but with a laptop, I'm not sure that's possible. Sorry.

...since I sometimes run a laptop with 32 K of graphics ram, I can relate! :D

my suggestion is to go through all the preferences and unclick all the advanced possibilities and lower the draw distance to the lowest (65 meters?)

reboot and see if that helps...

Good luck

(my machine is a 4 year old Toshiba and while I tend to be blind for a long time in new places, it is very fast to do things to my inventory. VERY slow on changing appearence, but all in all doable in familar surroundings..)
