Off the Wall Clothing Question...

Got a couple of questions regarding some off-the-wall clothing I'd like to try my hand at making.. Don't laugh.. I want to try making a spacesuit.. yes, an SL-duplicate of the suits NASA uses in space, for use at masquerade parties etc. I've already come up with a fairly realistic looking helmet, which, as far as I can tell, was the easy part... My questions are these: 1) How does one create one of the 'snoopy' cloth sub-helmets that cover all the head but the face? Nothing comes to me.. 2) I understand fairly well (at least I -think- I do) the concepts for texturing clothing, but how does one simulate the thick bulkyness of a spacesuit.. Once again, nothing comes to me... I think I just need a kick-start...

Thanks

If by 'sub-helmet' you mean a close-fitting hood sort of thing, it'd have to be a texture that replaced the head layer, worn as a tattoo with a default skin. It could probably be done with prims, but it wouldn't work as well; making one with the head template would be better.

Some bulkiness can be achieved with the sliders in shirt/pants, by making them really loose, but for anything really bulky you'll have to use prims, textured with the appropriate fabric and attached to legs, arms, torso, etc. Good luck!

I was afraid of that on the 'snoopy' cloth "helmet" (communications carrier, NASA calls it.)..
Looks like a fun project... I think the helmet was the easy part... hehehehe

Just add some gradient shades in the texture along the edge of the snoopy hood thing. It should make it appear a bit bulky.
