Prim Shoes?

Can someone give me a basic 101 on how to create prim shoes? I want to start doing a few for GUYS :)

I have given this a shot - and i took some photos to work from - then basically just built prims up with textures like any other object - then made th AVs feet as small as possible so that they would fit normally on the feet without looking 'clowinsh'

here's the pic from my vendor now selling these :

hey now - was that a shot? :)

They were the best i could do at the time - and they took so bloody long i havent ventured into shoes or boots again for a while... anyone having an EASY time doing this? is it just me?
