as you know, SL crashed on us. I tried to get back on and got a message that SL was down for maintenance. The class materials were in the blue bolt of cloth near the screen. If you don't have it let me know and I can send you a copy. The entire class is in it, along with the pictures and handouts. Also, if anyone is willing to host my tutorials, I will make this class into one along with a couple of other courses that I use in teaching. We can upload them for future students to use. Besides, the basic course and the polo shirt tutorial, I have a couple of step-by-step picture courses on making clothing articles from start to finish. I am willing to upload all of them to a server. Jen

From: Tanath Seelowe Hi jennifer i was really enjoying your tutorial and was dismayed to be logged off, will you be repeating it any time soon Tanath, I too am sorry for the grid to have crashed on us. However, that is typical of what I have been experiencing for the last few months. I love giving the class. I think I have helped people over the last 15 months. However, SL is not the place it use to be for me. When I came here in Aug of 05 it was exciting and fun. It was a world of endless possibilities. We seldom ever crashed. It was small enough to see almost all of it and, you met and knew most of the people. Now I can’t remember a single time I have been on, in the past several months, and not crashed two or three times within the hour. We didn’t have point-to-point teleporting then. You had to TP to a portal, then fly to your destination. But, it worked. Sometimes, nowadays I can’t even TP to my own home. I know I sound negative. I don’t want to be negative. The answer to your question is no. Not any time soon, at least. The end of the school year is always a busy time for teachers. That and my pending marriage have shoved SL into the background. When you add the trouble doing anything in-world well, I guess it is time for a SL sabbatical. I do plan on turning all of my tutorials and courses into pdf files that can be downloaded. Rachel Darling has offered to host them for me. I can give you a copy of the entire text along with the picture/slides and handouts. They were all in the blue bolt of cloth that was available for copying. If you didn’t get it, IM me and I will get it to you. This applies to anyone else who wishes to have the material. Jen

From: Rachel Darling Will definitely post the link...hopefully it can be added to the Tutorials sticky as well As you're collecting tutorials, Thinkerer, perhaps you'd also post yours?? The general entry point to my tutorials is the LOD (Learn On Demand) page; http://www.thinkerer.org/Lod/LodIntro.htmOf particular interest in the context of textures are: Pictures and Textures in Second Life http://www.thinkerer.org/Lod/LodPixTex.htmand Gimp 101 http://www.thinkerer.org/Lod/LodGimp101.htmSome of the scripts in the Script Modding section serve to manupulate scripts on prims. The general LOD venue includes links to videos by Torey Linden and others. TM
