So I was working on a shirt and noticed that the breathing animation distorts the belt under the breasts. It annoys the hell out of me :) but is it worth taking the time to try and make it not appear distorted when the avi is breathing in? Are my customers even likely to notice or is it just me being a prefectionist?

Here it is when the avi is breathing out - looks great!

And when she breaths in - distorted ::growls::

Thanks heaps for your help with this one.

Hi Catt!

Love the color of the top!

Tops get distorted no matter what...when av turns, bends, sits...or does anything that moves the torso. It drives me nuts and makes it difficult to take photos for displays....but I really don't think it's a big deal. RL clothing gets distorted when we wear it, so why shouldn't our SL wardrobe :)

I've never had a customer complain about it...but if you find a way to work around it go for it!

Best,

To be honest the distortion you show isn't too bad. If you had put the belt lower it would have been worse.

Just one of those things with the SL avatar mesh. We tend to be over critical of our own creations. However a quick look at some expensive shop purchased clothes will confirm they suffer the same fate...

Thanks heaps :) Last night I was about ready to scrap the lot - lol

My husband is always complaining because I'll stress over something that is one pixel off, I guess this is just more of the same. But hey that one pixel can make alllll the difference, ya know?

I have a similar design, and encountered the same problem. You can't really avoid distortion, unfortunately. And believe me, I've tried!

I completely feel your pain. But your top is very, very cute!
