Helping A friend Texture their home.... but..

I can’t!!!!! I joined the group... that the home is deed to... I can select it... I can move it... I can select textures... but when I select textures... EVERY texture on the house is highlighted... with the little white circle... I then would have to run around and de select every texture on the house... not going to do that... I can’t select a single texture... like a single wall... If I create a box on floor... as a test.. I can select individual sides as usual.. and apply textures... Help... any Ideas... Id really like to help texture this house..

Sounds like you may have "select only my objects" clicked.

Tools> select only my stuff - unclicky

Hope that helps

Or you need to check "edit linked parts" to edit the individual textures. Or unlink the whole linkset, do your texturing, then link it back.

Just throw the texture from your inventory on the surface you want to texture.

Or:

in edit mode: check "select texture" and click on the surface you want to texture.

(thats how you texture individual surfaces on 1 prim
