I have found and saved a few Windlight settings that work quite well for skinning, but at the expense of some details elsewhere (lighter prim textures, grey skies, no clouds, etc...). I'm curious what other people have discovered regarding Windlight settings for avatars. Are there any settings that work fairly well for everything? Here's a sample of one of my avatar settings (pardon the large graphic) in comparison to the results on the head of the avatar. It comes very close to the original (flat texture) as it appears in Photoshop. Almost, but not quite. Still, this is better than what it was like without Windlight.

Do your settings look good for all times of day?

From: Sylvia Trilling Do your settings look good for all times of day? No. My needs are more along the line of using a fixed setting for the entire day. Once I am ready to explore different lighting conditions throughout the day then, yes, alternate settings can be loaded.
