I just got my copy of Realviz Stitcher 3.1 yesterday. Its a program for making QuickTime VR panoramas. I thought it would be cool to make some of neat places in SL. I took some photos in one of the sims following their instuctions and it didnt match up. Here is the instructions:

You have to take pictures at a 30 degree horizontal angle. Do this in a circle. Do it again pointing the camera 45 degrees up and 45 down. Then you import the images.

The goal is to photograph the scene while keeping the camera at the same point in space. Reducing parallax will ensure that the images stitch properly.

Well, my issue is that I can't get the camera to move tripod style. How can I get tripod style rotation? Any camera tips or scripts to aid me?

There are a few things you can do that may help you with what you are doing.

Create a camera sit box. Create a box, add a script to it that locks the camera at the box's centerpoint and trigger that view when you sit on it. Then you can either A) manually adjust the box to the correct angle, or B) script it to change the view every 2 seconds or so. I have used this in the past to do a 360 turnaround of a sl object, the setup was a tad different but the principles are the same.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Neil! Do you have that script with you? If you could send me a copy, that would be great. If not, I can make one myself. Thanks for the tip.
