Does anyone know how you can make blouses and shirts that aren’t skin tight without them making you look bloated or fat? Regardless of what I do, the shirt is molded around your Avatar’s body like a second skin.

Unfortunately clothing is like a second skin. Other than playing with shading or adjusting the clothing in game (which does make your avie bloated since it is the skin that's stretching), I think we're stuck as is for now anyway.

They can be any shape you want them to be.

We'll all need to wait a bit for things to change

Prop 199 is a step in the right direction. A better physics engine is where the major improvements will occur. I'm not sure what Havok2 will do for things like clothing. The wait for significant improvements might be a long one - SL 2.0 perhaps.

Yes, someday far in the future the technology will be available to make a shirt!
Sounds kinda silly, but that's the way it is. :)

13.5 billion years ago the universe was born. 13.4999 billion years later the shirt was born. Woohoo! Luckily SL moves a little quicker than RL in that respect ;)
