Hi all,
The question is, I have a prim skirt, it has two layers of prims the lower layer texture has a small bit of trnaparancy on the bottom to make the texture torn, curved, rounded(texture is 32 bit tga). The upper layer regular texture(24 bit tga, using a 50% transparancy. Now the problem seems to be that even if I leave the upper layer of prims off, and only use the lower with the transparent edge at bottom, I can see through the entire skirt, can see my legs. I know this must be something simple that I am just doing wrong. Any Help?

A small bit of transparency is something that doesn't happen......the entire texture is either 32 bit or 24 bit. To compound it all you place 50% transparencey on the 24 bit texture...........which effectively makes it a 32 bit texture too. I think you are seeing the alpha sorting glitch.

I still have the same problem with Prim skirts that have only one texture that is 32 bit tga, with a edge that is transparent, from the back and sometimes the front I can see through the entire material. GRRRRRRRR I know this is not always a issue, so it has to be something I am doing. I own dresses made with this type of texture and I can't see through them.
Just frustrated Charity

Are you, by any chance, standing in front of some other object that has a 32 bit texture? I don't know if you make your building textures and would know if the texture is 32 or 24 bit. Some textures and/or objects are textured with 32 bit when they should be 24. Try looking at your skirt in front of a different textured object.........maybe outside.
