i was putting on new outfit and i noticed i still had on the default black bra and panties. I went and got some new ones but cant figure out how to get the default black ones off....any help here

Odds are good, if it is one of the free skins that came with your account, or that can be fouund in the Library part of your inventory, that the underwear is painted on the skin. This is true on about 80% of the free female skins that Linden Lab provides these days. To get rid of the underwear, you will need to change to a better-quality skin.

In your inventory, you can create a new skin, then wear that, and color it to your liking. Not a very high quality option, but at least it won't have painted on underwear.

It sounds like you're using one of the newby avatars in the library that has underwear "baked" into the textures.

You need to put on a different skin, either from the Library or from a merchant.

To try a different skin from the Library, open the Library section of the inventory and look through the clothing folder to find a new skin you want to try, then drag it from the inventory window onto your avatar.

To try one from a vendor, I suggest you have a look at the GNUbie store in Powder Mill.
