I'm very new to clothing aspect of SL and i was wondering ....
you have fabric, you aplies it,but it looks no better then anything you can make in game. Where do you go from there?

Rotten, I suggest going to the downloads section of this website and grabbing the clothing templates and sample textures. Have a good look, especially at the sample textures.
