Does anyone have any tips for making hair textures? I can make passable ones, but getting something that actually looks good is eluding me, and I'm not going to buy premade textures. (Oh, and I'm using Paint Shop, so please no Photoshop-specific tricks.) Thanks!

check out taunt.com. They even have video tutorial about it. And the rest is trial and error.  |

The tutorial on that site looked great, but how about something that'll work for GIMP? I'm not likely to have Photoshop, etc. any time soon... are there any similar tutorials for GIMP?
