I'd like to create one of those grid, filmstrip type of amimated textures, but I'm lost. I found an explanation in phottoshop-ese, but I have paintshop pro, and this is the first time I've been unable to translate. can anyone help conceptually, instead of step y step in photoshop talk?

Take a close look at  . Chosen Few described the full process in that thread very nicely.
