Basic Clothing Design Class for Nov 06

I will be scheduling a session of the Basic Clothing Design for the Non-Graphic Artist class within the next two weeks. I am looking at Sat. Nov 11 at the moment. When the class is actually scheduled, I will update you here.

The class consists of the following:
SL Avatar model and use of UV maps (templates)
Making a template suit for avatar and taking photos of avatar for reference
Where to get UV Maps/templates
Using layers
What is and using the Alpha channel
Using patterns & textures in the design
Saving to the correct format
Uploading texture file
Using DAZ & Poser Studios to preview your clothing.

Some basic clothing templates/patterns will be provided to help the new designer get started.

I have Poser and Paint Shop Pro. Friend is giving me a Paint shop 6. Problem with poser is I have no clue how to use it I got the free verision reccently.
I am more experienced with digital mouse drawings and recolors. I am definitely interested in your class but I am not skilled at computer graphics yet.
What programs do I need?
How do I find the class?
Can you contact me in the game?

You are welcomed to attend the class. It is not specific to one graphics program and really isn’t designed to teach Photoshop, GIMP, etc. These programs are too complex to be successfully taught in any detail through the SL medium.

There is a post in one of the stickies on top of the forum that gives the basics of Poser and Daz Studio. You might want to look through them. I would give you the url but SL forums is acting up today and I am afraid I will lose this post if I go searching.

I have scheduled the class for next Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10 AM SLT. The venue will be my hove in Rustic. You can get the landmark and info in the Events calendar. Look under Education.
