Is it just me or is the price/function exactly the same?

Bulk upload allows you to upload any kind of content into SL all at once. You just select everything you want to upload (using Ctrl or Shift), hit upload, and walk away. You'll be charged L$10 for each thing you upload.

I would think it something if we had discount rates on bulk uploads, true to the name... upload 9, get 1 free! :D

two other (small) differences:

1. Bulk upload adds the originating filepath in the description of the uploaded file
2. Bulk upload leaves extensions of uploaded files intact

IMHO The first thing is actually a privacy/security risk, as most people on windows machines store their files in their 'My Documents' folder. (or 'My Pictures') This translates into a filepath containing the username on the local machine. The end result is that the description in SL contains the local username on the machine. Often this is the real name of a person.

When the texture is given to another person, they can get real name info from the description field. So watch out when bulk uploading items.

A third difference:

3. Bulk upload reverts upper case to lower case in the file names.
