Okay, here's the deal. Heh. Someone makes an attachment item. They make a texture map for it. They upload, pay the 10L$ but the texture doesn't line up even after messing with it in the editor for a while. Now when you upload an image, you get the option of previewing it mapped onto various body parts and clothes. Buuuuuut is there a way to preview it on an external item that isn't in the clothes/body class before uploading the texture? To some it seems a waste of money to upload a texture for an item and then find that the alignment is bad, and being forced to delete it and edit the texture again on another try. I've had one model I had to reupload the texture 5 times. Now I have plenty of L$ and I don't horribly mind having to "do it over" a few times, but some people short on cash may sympathize with this. Psyra's Big Challenge of the Week: A traditional Alaskan Indian Raven headdress and costume. Completion: 65% (And yep, it's the headdress where I have all the textures going)

I think that you can use the preview window to see a texture on a cube. Have you tried playing with the offset and repeats per meter in the texture tab of the edit window? I usually eyeball my textures and use the repeats to align them right.

Can't wait to see it!! That I don't know.... I don't really have any experience with it myself. I just did it for a bit of a challenge and to see if I could get multiple textures in a single TGA file to work on a complex model. And it did. =D Yuo can view the completed model in my SLVille gallery - www.slville.com/psyraLook under the "Psyra's Gallery of His SL Creations" and it's in there. I am a newb when it comes to guessing the rest of the outfit, as I only had the picture of the mask itself to go on, so hopefully the outfit does not offend anyone (Don't worry, he's not naked or anything!) -Psyra-
