Creater is "nobody"???

I decided to create my own avatar eyes. I made some decent textures of various colors, uploaded them. My textures all show my name as the creator. However, when I save them as new eyes, all of the eyes show the creator is "nobody".
I've purchased eyes from others and the ones I've purchased display the creator's name correctly. What am I doing wrong?

It's nothing you're doign wrong. This is an old bug. I actually thought it had been fixed by now, but apparently not. When it happens, all you can do is start again. Make a brand new set of eyes and apply your texture.

I don't think it's going to work. I even went to the library and used a "newbie_template" set of eyes to start with. No matter what I do, the creator is shown as "nobody" or "newbie_template".... doesn't matter what I start with or which of my own textures I use.  |

Don't alter an existing set of eyes, make a new one.
In the appearance editor, click Make Outfit. Uncheck everything except for eyes. Now you'll have a brand new set of eyes with you as the creator.

Wow! I had no idea! Many thanks! I will have to file a bug report I guess. I tried the method suggested and it still doesn't display the correct name of the creator. |

This seems to hapen when the created object has more than 1 creator, Like if u use a script made by someone else insde an object you created, So right click in your inventory somewhere and make an entirely new set of eyes, this should work where the new outfit didnt, I think make new outfit just copies or moves any items u have on, so the original creator would still be the creator, making it Nobody when u alter it again hope this helps |

Yes! It worked! For anyone else reading this, if you want your name as creator on your new eyes, be sure to make them from the menu in your inventory.... not in edit appearance mode.
I'm a slow learner sometimes, but this is one lesson I won't forget! lol

Sorry about that, Mina. Yes, Ark is right, as you well know by now. Oops. That's what happens you haven't been able to log in for a while I guess. You forget how to do things, hehe. I must be getting old or something. Glad you got it solved.
