Textures and Snapshots are essentially the same thing... they are both just graphics files. Just move the snapshot from the texture folder into the Snapshot folder.
It doen't really matter which folder they are in they both do the same things.

There's no functional difference between a snapshot and a texture. They both do the exact same thing. The only difference between the two is the name. The label "snapshot" indicates an image that originated inside SL. "Texture" means an image that was uploaded to SL from the outside world. That's it.
If I may ask, why do you want your uploaded images to be called "snapshots" anyway? They won't behave any differently; they'll just have a different name.
And by the way, out of curiousity, what do you mean by "N30 machine". I googled it, and I found thousands of products with the name "N30", from cameras to computers to mice to copy machines to PDA's. It's also apparently the name of a dance club, the acquired title of a fairly historic protest rally, a type of film, a catalog listing for a classical music composition, and the name of a medical catheter, among many, many other things. Which one's yours?

Hi Chosen,
If not mistaken, N30 is a popular photo/modelling studio available for purchase in sl.

Well.. unless Im doing something wrong I cant link a texture to a not card but I can with a snapshot. So in other words I can't drag I pic which is a snap shot over to my note but not a texture. So there is i different ( i think) Its not just a matter of dragging a texture to the snapshot folder, in fact you cant.

So there is i different ( i think) Its not just a matter of dragging a texture to the snapshot folder, in fact you cant. Hmm. Looks like you're right. That's odd. I stand corrected. There is at least one small functional difference between snapshots and textures.

I believe a texture must have full permissions set "on" for the next owner to be able to include it in a notecard as a snapshot substitute.

I'm not able to embed my own textures into notecards ( I could count the number of other people's textures I own on one hand), so it doesn't seem to be a permissions issue.

The problem with putting a texture into a notecard is a permissions issue. By default, a snapshot is full perms. But by default, an imported texture is NO copy / NO Mod / Transfer OK. To put that texture into a notecard, it had to be set to full perms, even if it's your texture and your notecard. That is because the notecard can give the texture to the person you give the card to,

Glad I could help! As a texture artist and sim architect, I deal with textures and notecards a lot. Most of my sim proposals are notecards that include textures that I have uploaded, showing things like rough parcel layouts, security grids, and the like. I'd be truly lost if I couldn't add an uploaded texture to a notecard!
