Ok so I'm definately not a great artist and I dont have the tools to either scan or draw something in photoshop to put on say a gown.... So the point of this thread i... What textures and or texture places would be good for use on clothing? Are photoshop brushes good to put on top of plain colors for use on textures? If s where's a good place to look?

check out xstreetsl.com (used to be slexchange)

there are a great deal of clothing texture packages for sale on there, which can do two things for you
give you some great templates to work from, and also teach you how to do it on your own

I suggest you look here for some good tutorials on clothes and use of Photoshop you may find your questions answered.....maybe

and also make sure you pick up one of templates (Chip Midnite's is stickied in this forum), pick up SL Clothing previewer (also in the stickys) and read thru some of the threads here, lots of great tips!
