I am having a lot of trouble lining up the stomach on the lower and upper body template.
I don't want to make the stomach too simple because, the rest of the skin is detailed and it would look off if the stomach is just plain.

Are there any tips on lining up the stomach textures and preventing seams you guys you could give me?

The waist seam is tricky because the width of the polygons along each side of the seam on the templates don't match. The best way to handle it is simply to pay very careful attention to the grid lines and make sure you have the same pixel color at the same grid lines on either side of the seam. One trick you can use is to continue painting below the seam edge on the upper body template, then select the area equal to the width of each polygon below the seam, flip it vertically, then paste it into the corresponding polygon on the lower body template and distort it to fit.

I'll add this to what Chip said ..

Judicious use of expletives and an abstinence from alcohol until the job is done will be of tremendous benefit.

Now if you are fortunate to have the latest and greatest version of Photoshop CS4 (or even the not so latest and greatest CS3) you can speed things up by using the 3D view. If not you'll have to continue on the painful and tortuous path of time honored tradtion as outlined above.
