I don't know if this is just me or not but lately I find that outfits I have created where I have used the same texture for the shirt and for the gloves the clothing sliders no longer make any difference.
An example is that I have one where there is a short top with short sleeves and on the same texture with gloves that cover just the hand. I had the gloves set to be fingerless. Now no matter what I set the fingerless slider at I still have the full fingered gloves. In addition if I wear just the gloves (no shirt) the shirt appears anyway. the same is true if I wear just the shirt and no gloves, the gloves still appear on my AV.
Anyone else notice this or am I the only one using one texture for both shirt and gloves?

This feels like yet another manifestation of the Palletized Texure problem that many of us with NVidia graphics cards have learned to deal with (grudgingly) since last Fall. Check the "X" at Advanced >> Rendering >> Features >> Palletized Textures. It should be toggled OFF (you can use the Ctrl-Alt-F7 shortcut if you wish). Then rebake your avatar (Advanced >> Character >> Rebake or Ctrl-Alt-R). You may have to rebake two or three times, cursing each time. I have to go through this two-step process almost every time I change clothing, and certainly each time I log in. It's a pain, but the cure works ..... temporarily.

Son of a blankety blank blank. That fixed it. Thanks Rolliq. I'm glad it wasn't my clothes or I would have had a REAL problem on my hands.

I have a question about this too. What precisely does Palletized Textures do in the viewer? One of my best friends has a Nvidia card but not sure if he's had this problem or not yet. If he does, he may not even know it, since something like those fingerless gloves may seem like normal ones to him and if he didn't look close at the picture of the clothes he was buying may not notice a glitch. However, I'd hate to recommend a change to settings to him unless I know ALL the possible results of doing so. Thank you for your time in answering this. ~s~

Palletized Textures will be removed in the next version (they are already gone in 1.22RC9).

Palletized Textures - a set of textures, each of which uses its own limited palette of colors (a subset of the global palette). For example, even if there are 64K colors available, each texture may use no more than 16 or 256 colors. The colors used by each texture are referenced in a Color Look-Up Table (CLUT). CLUT 4 palettized textures use 4-bit palettes (16-color palletes), while CLUT 8 palletized textures use 8-bit palettes (256-color palettes). A color look-up table stores the values in the global pallette (a 16-bit pallette, for example) of the 16 or 256 colors used by a particular texture. This allows the color information inside the texture to be stored in 4-bit or 8-bit format, even if the global pallete contains 64K colors. This way, more and/or larger textures can be stored in a given space. Palletized textures allow developers to use a larger number of textures and/or higher definition textures.
