Template Download Mirror Sites Needed

It seems that all of the former download sites for the clothing and skin templates have disappeared and currently the only way to get them is through BitTorrent. If anyone has spare bandwidth to donate and can host a download location for the templates it would be greatly appreciated. You'll need a fairly high bandwidth budget since the four templates are a bit over 40mb and get downloaded a lot. If you'd like to help out please let me know.

How much is "a lot"? And are you looking for a web page to link to or are you looking to do deep linking?

Did slboutique dump your templates or have they just not set up forwarding from the old location to the new domain correctly?

Wouldn't secondlife.com be a reasonable host for your templates?

These are templates that you put much time into creating, generously made available to all, have benefited most SL clothiers for years - thus bolstering the SL economy - and LL has the bandwidth to handle 20+ MB client downloads regularly.

I must be missing something.

hehe, they've never volunteered, Malachi. They do distribute them in a package they give to developers though (at least at one point they asked me if they could). Since I have my logo on them I could see them not wanting to host them for fear that some people might think they're unfairly promoting me.

Anya, ESC just forgot to move them to the new server when they changed SLboutique to Onrez. There should be a new link from them shortly. I'm just trying to set up one or two mirrors so that when things like this happen people will still be able to find them (and I won't get 20 IMs a day about it ). The four templates are around 30mb zipped and get downloaded a lot so they can suck down some considerable bandwidth.

I have space free on my website, since I hardly use it, I am still working on my website anyways. Contact me in game or grab me on yahoo (my pager adress is down in the corner) and I can load up your files if you wish, chip, i can go up about 100 / 200 mb at the moment, since I am having more junk to save on that website ow and about bandwith, no worries, got plenty of that

You are free to upload your templates into PK Pounceworks website. There is plenty of room on there, and has enough bandwidth capacity.

You need to register an account, then submit your files into the "Textures" section of the Downloads. If you need further categories made, please tell me what's needed.

i can put them on my website. isnt being used for much. i can probably sustain 6000 downloads per month. will upgrade if need be. let me know if interested and where to get the files.
