Ok this is probably about my 4th post in 2 days on this forum, but i'm a little new to SL so i have lotsa questions..lol
Anyway I figured lots of designers come here so maybe someone could help..I was wondering how people make those little flip-through menus that display your products and allow the person to click on it and buy it. I've seen them everywhere, I'm just not sure how you create them..Are there any scripts or anything anywhere? I'm not a very advanced builder..
Thanks!

Hey Luna. I'm assuming you're talking about vendors. If you'd like some of your own or would like some help making them IM McWheelie Baldwin. He made my vendors and they're pretty easy to use. I'm sure he'd be more than willing to give you a few. Hope that helps. If not feel free to IM me in game.

There are many vendors and they each have their own features. I use the Bosvendor for items because it allows for a preview to be shown by rezzing a temporary preview of the item and the Moopf Vendor for clothing, since clothing doesn't need to be previewed that way. Some sellers make their own vendors and some buy their vendors (like me ). If you can get one for free that's even better.

I use Moopf Murphy's SLData vendors. They have an XML-RPC backend system that tracks all your sales - very cool! You just need to set up your vendors and then log in at http://www.sldata.com/vendor/ to view all of your sales and statistics. You can customize the look of the vendors, but I wouldn't do that until you're more familiar with object linking. Ciao!

okay thanks, i found vendors for sale at $250 - but thats only for one, and it can get really expensive if you need a few of them..are there any out there that are cheaper? i'm not too rich and am just starting out with the clothing sales in SL, so anybody know if there are any free or pretty cheap vendors out there? $100 per vendor is a pretty good deal..
thanks

I use Adam Zaius' oVend system. Quoted from a post on my blog : From: someone When I first heard about the oVend vending machine system, I was awed. It was everything I needed in a vendor and more.
oVend is a web administered, auto updating, networked vending machine. It was created by SL resident Adam Zauis. You can set the items via the websites, put those items in catalogs, and deploy those catalogs to multiple vendors. It's really easy compared to other vendors to manage multiple machines.
You can check the vending machine out (and buy some of my creations) at Goshua Lament Design, Ebisu. oVend is currently in a 1 month beta period. Check it out if you use a vending machine or have some spare time. I use it to manage inventory for 5 machines. The pricing plans are good too. You can learn more about oVend at the following thead: /invalid_link.html

Luna if you still need vendors, I'll give you a copy of the ones i use for my clothing, they are fairly simple to set up and I don't charge for them
