Shirts question

I'm trying to learn how to make shirts... T-shirts, dress shirts, ect. and wanted to know where to get the front and back texture of the shirts?

Hope I explained it right

Thats not what I ment.. I know how to make the shirt, I'm talking about where to get the textures... like if someone made a Hawaiian shirt... where would he get the pattern for both front and back and how would he make the collar as well as the buttons...

You can find a normal shirt texture, preferably white. Then overlay a layer of fabric pattern over it in PS. Some prefer to draw their own collar and buttons. If you keep the collar and buttons in separate layers, its easy to turn them into many shirts by changing the fabric.

There are some really ugly shirts at vendor websites as well if you search for them.

I've gone to fabric store websites and downloaded some of their fabric sample squares to make textures, usually tweeking them to my liking. Or I just play around with filters and such in Photoshop until I create something I like. Or, just draw it.

You can always use a generic collar and button from a digital shot of your own white dress shirt. It gives it more realisim

Shirt Problem

I been trying to make a shirts ect myself and im having one probelem.....The datn alpha channel..I been trying to use gimp amd PaintShop pro x ...WHen i upload my tga in sl i have a white shirt under the shirt i designed......Can some one tell me what to do or be able to help me out..........Ide really appreciate this cause im am constantly reading and taking notes and reading links to sites on how to do this and maybe im just a little lost hehehe....OKies...Thanks
