Don't know if your likely to be interested but Textures R Us are currently taking on custom artists for customers who require specific textures making
Also, we have an 'open' vendor which basically pays the creator of any texture sold 50% of the sale price, so you put your work/art/textures in there and each one thats sells the L$ goes direct to your account.
Its a good way to get noticed and establish yourself in SL as a texture artist.
Not sure if you do art OR textures...but cant see any reason why art cant be included in our store.
I have just done a particularly in depth custom of several images of pentagrams and runes with blood smeared & splattered and scratched accross & around them on alpha format for a customer..took me ages to get it right as I didnt have a picture to go off just his mental image in words....I sure could of done with some-one more inline with art rather than what I normaly do...layers of exsisting textures to create a new one..
Not used to starting from scratch..anyway....got there in the end but took me hours to find the right brushes etc..
So if you or anyone else in interested as working as custom artisits and texture makers IM me in world.
The fee would be between you and teh customer and id take 10% 'finders fee' so to speak.
