Hi all!
I remember someone mentioning a thread on how to do non-destructive burning and dodging? I've searched the forums and can't seem to locate it. Could anyone help?
Thanks,
Fox

You could use an overlay layer. Make a new layer above the ones you want to affect, and set its blending mode to Overlay, or to any of the lighting modes (Soft Light, Hard Light, Vivid Light, etc), depending on the type of intensity you want in the effect. Paint the new layer 50% gray. The gray will act as a neutral overlay, having no effect by itself. Now use the Dodge & Burn tools to darken and lighten the gray. The underlying layers will appear to be shaded and highlighted, completely nondestructively..
