Hi,

I'm having a weird problem with a texture I made. It's a 256x256 px, 24bit TGA file, that looks fine when applied to a prim and viewed from the front, but gets some weird moiré pattern when looking at it from afar and at an angle.

Screenshot of the problem - it's on the brick texture:

I haven't had that happen with other textures yet so I'm a bit puzzled - is there an easy way to get rid of the artefact? (using some particular filter or whatever).

Thanks!

Pic is very small.
Most textures with lots of parallel lines will have some of this problem.

Anyway, its also dependent on your graphics card. Maybe try turning on anisotropic filtering in the advanced graphics panel. Also, try forcing some anti-aliasing on using your display properties setting.
