HOW TO MAKE CLOTHES IN GIMP:
1. Open up GIMP
2. Open up a template (File-Open)
3. Open a dialog box named Layers. Go to File-Dialogs-Layers
4. In the Layers box, create a new layer...call it 'shirt' or something like that.
5. Move the new layer below the background layer.
6. Adjust the 'shirt' layer to where you can see the background layer behind it.
7. Keep the 'shirt' layer selected, and click on the Paint Bucket Icon in the GIMP tool box.
8. Click the Paint Bucket onto the 'shirt' layer, and it will fill the entire 'shirt' layer with the texture
9. Click on the Eraser icon on the GIMP tool box. Use the Erasor tool to erase all of the texture outside of the shirt itself
10. To check and see if you missed anything outside of the 'shirt' layer, set the background layer to 0, via the Layers box, then click back onto the 'shirt' layer, and erase whatever you missed that's outside of the shirt you just created.
11. Once done with the 'shirt' layer, only have that layer checked, then resize it to 512 x 512, and save as a .tga
12. Choose Export, when the box comes up when you save
13. Then, uncheck the two boxes and it will save as a .tga file
** To keep the same template, and just recolor it over and over, save the entire file...all of the layers, as an .xcf file. That way, you can come back to the same template over and over and over again**
Premade templates are great to use..you can find these for sale in world, or on SLX.
Have fun!
