Greetings, I hope someone can help me.
When I try to make clothing in appearance, the adjustment sliders, for length, etc.. don't work.
Not only that, I made a shirt using the template, saved it to the right file, wore it and I could not see skin, I could only see template on my arms; everywhere.
I'm sure its me, because my partner made a shirt for me, and when he put it on we could clearly see his skin on his arms. I tried it on, and instead of skin I see template. Grrr.
Anyway, any help will be much appreiciated.
Thank you,
Earth Metall

Bummer. I don't know what to say about the misbehaving sliders. The only thing I can imagine is that you are trying to modify a shirt that you don't have permissions for. If your friend made it, be sure that he gave you mod permissions. If you made it yourself, though, I have no clue.
The template problem, however, sounds as if you have just forgotten to turn off a few of the upper layers in your photoshop image file before saving it as TGA or PNG. Any layer that's still visible in Photoshop will also be visible when you apply the texture in world. There's no other good reason why you should see the template. The confusing thing, of course, is that you say the template ISN'T visible when your partner wears the same shirt. That defies all logic. Magic is loose in the world.

Thank you for your reply Rolig, Now it's getting really wierd. I went to wear a pair black gloves, short ones. And I had a whole black body shirt on. I know it isn't SL, sheesh this is crazy.
I tried to post some pictures and that didn't work either...shrugs.

Do you use an nVidia card? A lot of people have been reporting SL clothing issues with drivers newer than the 175 series.

Hi, Yes I do, a Getforce 9600 GT. Do you happen to know what the problem may be?
This is a fairly recent event, perhaps the new viewer???
Thank you.

The drivers just aren't compatible...you'll either need to roll back to the 175 version or put up with it until/LL or nVidia (hard to say which created the issue) fix it. This site should help: http://downloads.guru3d.com/Videocards---NVIDIA-GeForce-(XP-32-bit)_c10.html You can also vote for the JIRA issue here: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7957

Thank you!
I found a solution, can you believe it? I read to go to: Advanced/Rendering/Features/uncheck pallitized textures. Works like a charm!!!
Weeee!
Thank you so much everyone.

The Advanced menu is hidden by default.
To show it, hold down Control+Option (or ctrl+alt on a PC) and tap the D key. (D, because it used to be called the Debug menu.) That toggles it on and off.
It'll show up to the right of the Help menu, just before the icons and sim name.
There's a host of useful stuff in there.
Enjoy!

Well, seems that doesn't work anymore. At least for me =/. So, I try to make new clothes today and notice the Pallitized Textures is yet again checked, so I uncheck it, Rebake..Nothing. Then I relog...it checked off the Pallitized Textures again and over and over it goes.
I am so extremely fustrated right now it's not even funny. If I downgrade my drivers the other stuff I do runs like crap, if I keep it where it is now I cant make anything in SL. Wonderful, are they planning on fixing this?
