Not sure if this would be the right place to post this, but it is art/design related so here goes.

Is there a way to override aka replace the default avatar skin? I know there is the skin textures in the appearence menu that simply overlaps it, but I want that available for other textures.

Nope....Just the skin textures so far. All or nothing..

You could make skins with tattoos right on them instead.
