Make sure you're working in RGB mode, 8 bits per channel. If you're in any other mode, TGA won't be an option for you.

When you save the texture, TGA isn't an option, but Targa is.
What you might not realize is that Targa IS .tga. And of course Photoshop saves targa files, on the Mac or the PC, for many years and many versions. _____________________

Hope it helps!... Muri You're not a freak. SL has always supported JPEG, BMP, and TGA. The reson TGA is so important is it's the only one of the three that can do transparency (and it is the industry standard format for texturing). So you know, JPEG is not recommended because it uses lossy compression. Your JPEG image will never look as good as a TGA, ever. And that's before you even get to considering that JPEG can't do transparency at all. As of yesterday, SL now officially supports PNG as well, which I suspect will become the format of choice for many people, as it's easier for most to understand. I still recommend TGA, but PNG is good. _____________________
