Mod`s missing texture field.

No copy jeans have their textures hidden.

I have a quick question I`m hoping someone knows what im talking about..


I own several pairs of Modifiable jeans. Of course, you have to go into edit mode and "pants" to mod them. Once there whats normally there are 2 boxes: 1 for the texture field, and 1 for the tinting field.

On most of the jeans I`ve bought, though, the texture field is completely gone. How is this done? Anyone know and would care to tell me how?

I would like to know because I have had my own issues with other people's textures.
I bought reccently several textures from this one person. One was this beautiful white rose tree texture. It was no transfer. Everytime I try to find the texture when I want to texture something it won't show up. Yet if I search for it through regular inventory file its there.
I have also had objects where permissions or things changed in strange ways that I didn't entirely get.
Like I made a painting, friend tested it out and bought a no mod no tranfer painting then some how was able to keep buying it from herself.
Definitely strange that no tranfer item would allow the new owner to buy it again and again.
Perhaps the outfit texture loss has to do with the settings the previous owner set when they sold it. For example I set painting with certain permissions and tested it with friend she was able to buy only part of painting and left a blank prim.
Perhaps it was like that except you bought the pants without the texture or maybe it just needs to be rebaked and is grey because of rezzing issue?

Theres a work around for this but I forget what it is. but there is a work around.

I think its something like you have to either check or uncheck the "apply immidiately" box


No. The texture box is missing for good. Ive even passed the jeans along to others to see if they knew how to do it.

Its missing for everyone, and for everyone who buys it too im sure. not 2nd hand jeans, I bought from the shop.

Even jeans/tees Ive bought from others have the box totally missing as well.

Im kinda stingy with my stuff, If i make something mod I`d love to be able to hide the texture box from others seeing my texture.

And somehow, I think the lack of texture box on the jeans I have was done purposely and itd be great to know how so i could apply to my jeans as well.
