I am trying to find a tweed texture for a men's suit jacket. If anyone would be able to assist me that would be great. Thanks.

Hi.
Depends on the style of tweed your looking for. If you pop to Textures R Us store we have 20 artists a couple of them spring to mind who work direct with fabrics. Simply send me a notecard with exactly what your looking for color-weave type-(dogtooth?) size ( i imagine a smaller size so the fabric will rez quicker on your clothing) and I will send it out as a custom request to the stores artists. Who ever I beleive is best for the job will be in touch with you direct. Charge will depend on the amount you need but its likely not going to cost you more than a standard set of 10 textures in the store which is 350L as long as she/he can then display that same set in the store after for sale to other residents. ![]() _____________________

Another way to get tweed or any other fabric, would be to actually purchase tweed at a material store, scan it in and then create a pattern. I don't know how much time you have - but that is the best solution if you you have a particular tweed pattern. There are tiling plug-ins for photoshop that are free, just do a google search.
Also, Adobexchange has a ton of FREE textures - some of them material and fabric. Not to worry about Copywright, anyone submitting items there has to agree to an all inclusive release contract. So they are free to use as you wish. Deviant Art is another place to get textures but using them would depend on the artist who uploaded the texture. |

I'd also like to introduce you to my friend.. Google Image search.
http://images.google.com/images?q=tweed%20texture Of course, it'll take a lot more than a texture you scraped off the web, to make a jacket of any quality. _____________________

Had you wanted to learn how to make a texture, you'd be in the right place here. However, since you seem to be looking for one made by someone else, head over to the Products Wanted forum. That's what it's there for. This forum here is for education, not for shopping, which is why it's called "Texturing Tips" instead of "Texture Shopping", and why its description says "Discuss texturing techniques" instead of "Discuss where to go looking for textures".
Good luck. _____________________

Here not sure if its anything like what you want as tweed comes in many weaves but these are seamless 512 x 512 you can resize them and may need to if its for in world clothing as the check pattern will be far too big. _____________________
