You can put anything into the Contents of a prim by just opening the prim's Contents tab in Edit and dragging the item (a notecard, a script, an object, a texture ....) into it from your inventory. Easy. The prim that you put your tiems in can be any shape you like, including a flattened cube that looks like a piece of plywood. Slap a texture on the front of it -- a picture of the items inside it, for example -- and you have a gift box or a vendor box. Go to the General tab in Edit and set the conditions for sale, and you're done.

If you are not, then the Build button will be disabled. You can try right-clicking on the ground and select Create from the pie menu. If that does not work, you will have to get permission to build there, or go somewhere that you are allowed to build -- like a sandbox. Some places require you to be an active member of a group in order to build. Most malls are set up this way. The owner makes you a member of their renters group, you activate that group so it shows over your head, and then you can build. |

Just a quick note about products in prims...
You don't have to open the prim and Edit Contents if you hold down the Control key while you're dragging the stuff from your inventory onto the prim. The prim will light red, and everything you're dragging will go IN it, not ON it. This works particularly well for things like textures, if you want to include an image of the outfit (or whatever it is) that's in the prim, so people can look at that, in their inventory, instead of putting on the outfit and waiting for it to rez so they can see what it is. People also use those image for closets, I think. With scripts, though, Control-dragging makes them Not Running. Good if you are selling scripts, and don't want them to affect the prim, but not so good if you wanted them to run. However, if that happens, you can always just select the Prim, and go to Tools > Set Scripts to Running in Selection. Hope this helps! _____________________

I never knew that. Thanks, Robin! Welcome back, by the way. It's been a while. I hope this is a sign you're doing well, and we can enjoy your presence more often once again. ![]() _____________________
