I have downloaded the templates from the secondlife.com/downloads webbie and loaded it into paint shop pro 8.. and i put the image i want to be the tattoo on the front part of the template... now how do i remove the overlay that has guide template? i've gone to my layers and put a x on the eyeball next to overlay and background but when i save as tga and upload it makes it into a white shirt with the image in the middle...

when you are done applying the tattoo to the template you have to delete the guide layers. To do this, on your layers tab on the bottom right you will see a very tiny trash can. Select the layer you want to delete then click that. Or you can just right click on the layer and go to delete layer. Also it might be white when you upload it because you must create an alpha channel in order for it to appear correctly. To learn how to create an alpha channel, go to the very begging of the Design and Textures thread and you will see a sticky labeled as that. Good luck!

Tried, tried, tried again, finally gave up on paintshop pro 8, you can make an alpha channel on psp8 but you CAN NOT save as a .tga 32bit file, tried everything I could think of and then some, psp8 just will not do it, sorry.
P.S. I went out and got photoshop CS2, now my tattoo bussiness is thriving, well, will be once I get more customers. ![]() |

You sure Iadwen? You could certainly do it in PSP8, and you can in 11. Strange that it would disappear in between.

if you could make and save an alpha channel on paint shop pro8 and save it as a .tga 32bit file would you please explain how you did this? the only options I have are 8, 16, 24 bit. I have looked in the forums and have found many other people saying the same thing, that it could not be done. although it would be helpful for other people as I have switched cs2 it is much better IMO.

I think that 24 bits in PSP8 is the equivalent of 32 bits in Photoshop. Try the 24 bits one.
