Transparancy question????

Hi... I know there is info about alpha transparancies available here, but I am using PSP9 and I am trying to put a multicolor lace on the bottom of a skirt. I have tried using a grey layer underneath, a black layer and running Flamming Pear. Since it is lace and difficult to get each pixel, I did not use the advanced method. I still get the white halo around the lace. Is there any thing else I can try or any suggestions.

Get rid of the lace pattern in the RGB channel. You just need a plain band of multicolours there. Then, just work with the lace pattern in the alpha channel in plain black and white.

That way, you don't need to bother about getting every little pixel to match up with the alpha.
