If I'm reading properly, there's a Carrara 7 beta available that has a new feature, painting on the 3D model. http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=99387&sid=480338947a57f0538f1e316c6b7dcc80&flatnum=1Possibly someone might want to try it out and comment on it. The beta appears to be free but it will stop working when the release version comes out.

You're welcome.
The paint tools might not be real advanced yet since they are just being introduced but they should get better with time.

One thing I did notice right away is the option for C7 to search your sys for poser and daz content. Which you can then access from the browser section at the bottom of the UI. Which is very cool as it has little thumbnails. Once you bring up an object there are all sorts of things you can do to it. For those that just cannot wait for more comments there are like 17 pages of them just below the download link on the daz site.
