Hi
I'm trying to make Irisless eyes and have made textures to try & achieve this using the pupil on transparent background, on all white and with white iris on transparent and then turning eveything down on the sliders. However, the iris is still shaded slightly differently (due to UV mapping?).
Is it possible to render the iris completely indistinct from the "white" of the eye?

Why all the transparency? All you need is a white canvas with a black dot in the middle, right?

Sorry - yup, that was the first thing I tried but I still end up with a distinctly defined "iris", even though it is white. In fact it's whiter that the rest of the eye which is slightly shaded - presumably to map a 3D eyball - and the fact that this is based on an all white canvas doesn't make any difference.
I strongly suspect there's no way round this without prim eyes.
