Probably not the right place to ask but its somewhat related. Any advice on the best places to rent for a new designer of men's wear?

Hi vinnie - I'd like to take a look at what you have to offer. I have a fairly new "boutique" area that caters to men.
Please stop by and take a look: secondlife://Palulop/26/183/ If you can, please post some pics portraying your stuff. Thanks! Ciao, Paolo _____________________

Simple answer, the more malls you're in, the more you'll sell. I've never seen any signs that any perticular mall is any better or worse than any other. They all have ups and downs. For example, I upped my tier after I won a 4-month lease in Luna Galleria, and I was regretting it for the first 3 months because sales were virtually zero, but then all of a sudden I sold 30K all at once, and it made the whole thing worthwhile. It's all about being in the right place at the right time for the right customer. The only way to do that is to be all over the place.
To quote the president of the RL company I contract for, "50% of your advertising doesn't work. The problem is you never know which 50% it's going to be, so you have to do all of it all of the time." _____________________

Vinnie - just an idea...
Once you do establish a store somewhere, if you have any creations of yours that you'd be willing to give away as free samples - drop a box on me with the items, a notecard and a landmark to where your store is, and I'll place it out. (They need to be copy/transfer to be given out). We have a freebie table at the Shelter, and mens clothing is something that's always been seriously lacking. Its free advertising for you, and hopefully more items for new residents. ![]() _____________________

Probably not the right place to ask but its somewhat related. Any advice on the best places to rent for a new designer of men's wear? I don't sell mens clothing, so I can't comment on that market segment, but I do know that when I had 7 separate outlets I did no more business than the single one I have now. Posting in the forums "New Products" section has gotten the best results for me, not to mention valuable feedback too! As long as you are in a fairly accessible location I wouldn't worry. On a side note, my peak sales for mens skins versus those of female skins over the past year showed some interesting averages between the sexes. The busiest shopping days for female skins were Sunday,Tuesday, and Friday (pretty much even). The males seem to be concentrated more on Sunday and Tuesday. Just somthing to think about when picking a time to post in the forums for men. _____________________
