Help with creator Nobody. I'm not nobody!

I just noticed that most of my jeans are showing creator "nobody" . I have the original .tga which shows me as the creator. Is there a way to change these jeans back to me as the creator, or do I have to delete them and create them again?

I know how to change the creator of a moddable prim-based object, but not a piece of clothing, sorry.

I'm guess that when you first made the jeans, you took a copy of some freebie pants item (with creator Nobody) and applied your texture to it. That doesn't change the ownership of an item. But it probably should (listening, Lindens?) since there's not much to a clothing item *but* the texture.

To avoid this, create the clothing item yourself, by right-clicking on a folder in your inventory, and choosing New Clothes > New Pants, then apply the texture to that.

Unfortunately sometimes wearable items lose their creator tag. The only way to restore it is to recreate it. Unfotunately it won't restore the ones in circulation. I have a lot of my stuff out there attributed to "nobody." That nobody guy sure is prolific

That is what I did. They were all showing me as creator when they were first created. Now all but a few are showing creator nobody. Out of 10 pair of my Boop Jeans all but the next to the last pair I created are showing nobody. I can change it back by creating new pants and reapplying the tga file, I just was hoping there was a faster way to do this. Thanks for the heads up though.

Some of my skins are that way.. aggrivating as hell but what can ya do? Happend at 1.5 upgrade or so... But it happens regularly now with new stuff.
