Lightwave question- re baking to uv

Hi there-
I was wondering, if , when using the surface baking camera to bake to UV, is there a way to allow for a bleed around the UV? i am finding that it runs black right up to the uv edge, then i am spending alot of time making a bleed to keep the seams happy. I've lcicked around in properties and the surface editor and do not see any options for this. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

If I understand you correctly, to get an overlap on the UV map, try setting the UV Border to 4.0 in the surface baking camera properties. I find 4 works well when working with 1024 by 1024 textures.
