I am just starting to play with skin design. I purchased some templates as a kick start to learning what goes where, etc. I have done some test skins, but all of them have a strange ring around the eyes, which is apparrently being caused by the eyelashes. So I adjusted the shape on my avie and made the eyelashes a 0 (zero) but there is still an annoying little ring around the eye of the skin.
Can anyone tell me is this a flaw in the texture I have created or something else causing this issue? I have many skins I have purchased from various creators that do not have this issue (obviously).

The very upper right of the head texture for your skin needs to be transparent. This is the area that the avatar model uses for the eyelashes. If it is opaque you will get a very thick (mono-lash) surrounding your eye. Have a look at this file... head_alpha.tga ...in your client character folder inside the SL install to see the area I'm mentioning. You can use this file to mask out the eyelashes. I like to leave it totally transparent unless coloring the lashes other than black. Black lashes will show as default if the area is left fully transparent.

Very cool they look much better now. haha thank you
