Since I can't figure out exactly where I should put this thread and Jeska suggested this forum here goes.

This is just a plea to those of you who create skins. Please for the love of sam make a skin or two with eyebrows placed a little lower. It seems like every skin I have tried the past two weeks the eyebrows are placed very high or just too high in general. I'm well aware that we can change the eyebrows using the sliders but I also know that you can end up with a really thin, jagged mess. The eyebrows are placed so high that you can't get anything decent in a lower position. If you want to have high brows that's great but I for one don't like that look (on me).

Here's an example using my current skin of a good lower brow placement. I don't want to use someone's skin as an example of brows that are too high because I don't want to point out any one in particular.

I thought I was the only one! I'm usually stuck with either really high brows or low, super skinny ones. A happy medium would be great! :)

perhaps splitting the difference between eyebrows and collar bone would be a good solution... Ive seen a vast number of collar bones sagging down onto the chest....

This has been a definite issue.. and something I've personally been working to try and compensate for on my own skins. I've noticed my eyebrow development going lower and lower. :)

Though, the biggest drawback is pleasing everyone at the same time. :D

If anyone has issues with eyebrow placement on my female GX skins, please speak up, and I will offer more options for positioning them with my future custom makeovers! For me the change on the template is as simple as a few taps of the up or down arrow in Photoshop, but once I upload the options, they are final. As always, everything I sell on a skin can be sampled for free as a demo skin.

FYI:
The current eyebrow setting is already slightly lower than the position of the default LL slider eyebrows, so I will not offer gross misplacement as an option since my skins are somewhat realistic looking ;).

On a semi-related note...

I was continually getting frustrated that I'd get my eyebrows set in a fairly satisfactory position, only to notice a few days later that my facial expression was one of suddenly being goosed...

Completely accidently, I discovered (I know, I know, late in the game!) that my eyebrows were changing when I was changing my hair... and putting on a new base (either baldie or colored base). So, happily, I now have "vivi's best hair base" and ignore the baldies base with new hair. If a tinted base comes with new hair, I have to adjust that...

At least I've finally made the connection! (duh!)

As a makeup Artist in RL. Eye brows will make or break your entire face!
high, you look like a clown
to pointy you look mad
end of brows to saggy you look sad
to round you look fake
to few or to blonde you look old

I create shapes in game and I have a heck of a time putting a great shape under most skins in SL. Each skin makes the shape look entirely different. Eyebrows that can’t be modified, collar bone saggy or appears to protrude way too much and those creases around the nose GRRR! LOL
As for the makeup IMO, eyebrows need a classic shape, eyes need more definition. Take your camera back some distance away from your avi and look, the eyes seem to just blend in. We need more eyeliner on the inside of eyelids, both upper and lower and well and a nice light to deep smoky effect at the lashes.

Yes there are great skins in SL and I l found them all..just want more hehehehe

This might help some :) You really need to go by the templates when placing eyebrows, being mindful of the range of morph targets. They belong in the middle of the lavendar line. That gives the most flexibility to the wearer to get them into the shape they want them.

Chip is absolutely right. Any major deviation from what is set on the templates will only result in loss of flexibility on the adjustment side. This goes for eyebrow shape too!

RL presents us with all manner of shapes that don't work well on the SL avatar template. To further complicate things, the male versus female shapes represent the eyebrow area in very different ways. The male eyebrows tend to be thicker, even with the same exact texture applied under duplicate slider settings. The outer edge of the male eyebrow also distorts much more than the female eyebrow. This can be used to one's advantage if the shape is right. Test and test again before settling on a particular eyebrow shape.
