You can start by looking at the stickies on this forum.

If you couldn't understand the information in the stickies, then it sounds like you're probably brand new to computer graphics. If that's the case, then I'd highly recommend taking one thing at a time. Learn your paint program BEFORE you attempt to learn to texture for 3D. Trying to do both at once is recipe for disaster, no matter how smart or talented you may be.

Anyway, if you really want detailed instructions for making a T-shirt, I'd suggest Robin Sojourner's tutorial.

Like what chosen few said, take it slowly. Here is a suggestion. Pick a clothing tutorial. Do your best reading it several times. Sleep on it. Go back to the tutorial again a read it again slowly. When you come to somethng you don't understand, ask a specific question here in this forum. I believe there are lots of people who would be willing to answer specific questions.

There is a lot to learn.

Good luck,
-Sylvia.

You may have some success using Paint.Net or Gimp for image editing (both are free and will show up on a google search).
